Can one QR code link to both the App Store and the Play Store?

True device-aware routing (iOS scans go to the App Store, Android scans go to the Play Store from the same code) requires a server-side redirect. This tool currently encodes whichever URL you pick — the device-aware mode falls back to the iOS URL when both are filled. A device-routed mode is on the QRQuick roadmap.

Open your app's page on play.google.com and copy the URL. It looks like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.example.yourapp. The `id=` parameter is your app's package name.

Will the QR open the app store directly or via a browser?

Both stores support "smart" URLs that, when scanned from an iOS or Android device, open the native store app directly. The browser is only used if the store app isn't installed.

For physical placement (packaging, posters, kiosks) — yes. Typing an app store URL on a phone is painful. A QR removes that friction; the visitor scans and lands on your download page in seconds.

Can I track installs from the QR code?

Accepted Answer

Add Apple's `?ct=` campaign token to the App Store URL or Google's `&referrer=` to the Play Store URL before pasting. The QR will encode those tracking parameters and your store analytics will attribute installs to the QR campaign.
